Terms & Conditions

Details of important consumer booking conditions and operators responsibilities applicable to arrangements are set out below. Tours described in our brochures may have changed since this brochure was published. Also changes in airline fares and other charges and changes in exchange rates may affect the price. Make sure that you carefully study the booking conditions and ask Classic Asia Ltd whether changes have occurred BEFORE you book.

Changes in Prices:
Prices are based upon tariffs and airfares current when printed. In this time of world currency instability, it is impossible to accurately foreshadow fluctuations in exchange rates or increases to the cost element of the tour, such as airfares, fuel, airport charges, hotel rates and other service provider's tariffs. In the event of such fluctuations or increases affecting the prices which we pay for transportation, accommodation and services generally, we reserve the right to adjust our prices as may be necessary at any time, even though the balance payment has been made.

Deposit Schedule and Final Payment:
A non-refundable deposit of $250.00 per person is payable immediately for tours. No travel documents will be dispatched until full payment has been received. Balance for tours is payable 60 days before departure.

Amendment Fees:
A fee of $25 per person per file amendment will be charged by Classic Asia Ltd in addition to any charges levied by hotels, ground operators, and airlines. An amendment constitutes a change to an existing booking.

Cancellation:
Should any member of your party be forced to cancel, you must advise Classic Asia Ltd in writing. The letter should be signed by the original person making the booking. The cancellation is not effective until Classic Asia Ltd receives the letter. Cancellations are subject to a charge to cover our estimated costs and those costs levied by our suppliers.

Cancellation Charges: All deposits are non-refundable. If you are forced to cancel a tour, we will do our best to resell the accommodation. We cannot guarantee that these arrangements can be resold. We strongly suggest that travel insurance be taken to guard against loss.

Refunds:
No refund is available for unused services once travel has commenced in respect of any tours, accommodation, and event, meals or any other services not utilized. If Classic Asia Ltd cannot confirm your selected accommodation, we will offer you an alternative of the same standard.

Airfare Conditions:
Some airfares have a limited validity or are required to be booked and paid for at a certain time before you travel. Please consult Classic Asia Ltd for conditions.

Baggage:
The free baggage for economy class is 20 kg. Included in this is 5 kg of hand luggage that must fit in the overhead locker or under the aircraft seat.

Travel Insurance:
Travel Insurance for Tours is compulsory. Details will be forwarded and should be taken out when paying deposit.

Immigration:
Visas are required for tours and details will be advised on receipt of deposit. Each person shall carry a valid passport at all times. Passport and visa requirements are not the responsibility of Classic Asia Ltd and we are not liable for any loss or expense due to a passenger failure to comply with the above. Your passport must have at least six months of validity.

Health:
Please check with your doctor or travel clinic for medication and vaccination requirements.

Pre-departure Contact:
It is essential you advise Classic Asia Ltd of a telephone number or address where you can be reached within 24 hours prior to departure fromĀ  New Zealand.

Not Included in the Price:
Passports, visas, Airport taxes where applicable are not included in the tour price, nor are items of a personal nature, such as laundry, taxis outside regular transfers provided, telephone calls, excess baggage charges, personal and baggage insurance, postage, faxes, drinks, room service and meals, other than the meals stated in the itinerary.

Booking Arrangements:
The person booking shall be deemed to have accepted the Booking Conditions on behalf of all persons named in the booking. The contract shall be governed by and subject to the Booking Conditions and to the general information contained in the brochure. No variation to the booking conditions shall be of any effect unless made in writing with the authority of Classic Asia Ltd.

All communications from us will be sent directly to the person affecting the booking. We will be entitled to keep, for each account, any interest earned on such moneys. It is a condition of your booking and acceptance of your deposit in respect to your tour that all moneys paid to us by you, whether by way of deposit or otherwise for your tour shall be Our Responsibility:

Classic Asia Ltd is not a carrier or hotelier, nor do we own aircraft, hotels or coaches. The flights, coach journeys, other travel and accommodation in your package, are provided by reputable carriers and hoteliers on their own conditions. It is important to note therefore, that all bookings with Classic Asia Ltd are subject to terms and conditions and limitations imposed by airlines, coach operators, hoteliers and other service providers including but not limited to shipping, rail, car hire and restaurant operators, whose services we utilize, some of which limits or exclude liability in respect of death, personal injury, delay or loss or damage to baggage. We strongly recommend that you take insurance to guard against these risks. We will always do our best to make sure your arrangements are satisfactory. The standards of accommodation and other services contained in this brochure are based on various factors which are generally accepted as indicative of a certain class; however we do not represent or guarantee the standard, class or fitness for the purpose of that accommodation or service.

Classic Asia Ltd does not accept any liability of whatever nature for the acts, omissions or defaults, whether negligent or otherwise, of those airlines, hoteliers or other persons providing services in connection with your tour pursuant to a contract between them and yourselves over whom we have no direct or exclusive control. We do not accept liability in contract or in tort (actionable wrong) for any injury, loss, delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by force major or other events which are beyond our control, which are not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part, including but not limited to war, civil disturbance, fire, floods, unusually severe weather, acts of God, acts of Government or any other authorities, accidents to or failure of machinery or equipment or industrial action (whether or not involving our employees) and even though such action may be settled while acceding to demands of a labor group.

The right is reserved to modify the itinerary in any way considered necessary or desirable or to change any reservations, and/or means of conveyance, without notice and for any reasons whatsoever and without allowance or refund, but the extra cost, if any, resulting there from must be paid for by the passenger. The right is also reserved to cancel or withdraw any tour, or any booking made by a passenger or to decline to accept to retain any person as a member of a tour, for any reason whatsoever.
